JOB SUMMARY: Provide supervision and routine health monitoring for residents of residential and ALF living units. Provide emergency first aide to residents and staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.
1. Supervises the staff which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for interviewing, selection, training, motivating, wage and salary administration, performance appraisal, managing policies and procedures to ensure achievement of the department's goals.
2. Responsible for the strategic planning and operations of the department by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.
3. Assist with the assessments of new residents moving from Independent Living or the outside into Assisted Living.
4. Responsible for the appearance of the Assisted Living Department.
5. Participate in the Level of Care meetings.
6. Manage the day-to-day needs of the residents. Communicate needs or changes to the family members. Conduct family meetings related to residents.
7. Oversee medication dispensing and handling. Ensure that proper medications inventory levels are maintained and that audits are being performed on a regular basis. Oversee monthly MORS

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in health-related field or Registered Nurse (R.N.) with at least two years experience.
CORE training required.
Must be CPR Certified
Experience and Basic Knowledge: Must be familiar with long term care of the older adults and be able to function independently. Possesses the ability to speak, read and understand English. Two (2) years LTC or AL experience required.

Medical Requirements: Must be willing to receive the influenza (flu) vaccination during flu season annually.
