Operations Manager (Finance)

We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager who can implement the strategic plan for our medical device and industrial 3D printing facility. You will work with manufacturing, scheduling, inventory control, and logistics. Partner with our sister facility in Leuven, Belgium to create aligned processes and optimum customer service. The ideal candidate excels at defining key performance metrics and improving production efficiency into innovative manufacturing processes. You should have a proven track record of managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance for medical device production, industrial manufacturing, and developing talent within your team. This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite location 5 days a week.

What You Will Do

  • Support strategic planning for our 3D printing operations in Littleton, working with teams in manufacturing, product development, planning, scheduling, production control, inventory management, and shipping/receiving activities.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to continuously improve production efficiency, increase throughput, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including supply chain, quality assurance, engineering, sales, maintenance, and EHS to resolve operational challenges and implement innovative solutions.
  • Interpret customer and regulatory requirements to help develop and refine manufacturing processes that are cost-effective and production ready.
  • Assist in preparing operational plans, budgets, and procedures to achieve revenue targets while minimizing costs.
  • Maintain rigorous safety standards and regulatory compliance essential for medical device and industrial manufacturing, ensuring our facility meets all industry requirements.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing operations team dedicated to excellence in 3D printing, where your leadership directly impacts the advancement of personalized medical devices and customized industrial products.
What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field, or suitable combination of education, skills, and experience.
  • 4 years or more of manufacturing experience with at least four years in a management or supervisory position, preferably in medical device or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and improve quality metrics in complex manufacturing operations.
  • Experience collaborating effectively across organizational boundaries to achieve operational goals, including quality, engineering, and supply chain.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to effectively guide and inspire a team dedicated to providing innovative solutions through advanced 3D printing technologies
  • Excellent communication skills to interface effectively with customers, regulatory agencies, and cross-functional teams while clearly articulating technical concepts and manufacturing requirements.
  • This position serves the Manufacturing group, which includes the need to work on export-controlled products from aerospace and defense customers.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven track record of implementing operational excellence initiatives and driving continuous improvement in regulated manufacturing settings.
  • Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems, particularly Oracle, along with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and visualization to drive decision-making in a manufacturing context.
  • Thorough understanding of ISO quality systems (especially ISO13485 or AS9100), GMP requirements, and regulatory compliance standards
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S methodology, and Six Sigma techniques applied to medical device or precision manufacturing environments.
