CONSTRUCTION SERVICES PRACTICE

Michael Baker International's Construction Services staff supports clients by acting as their trusted on-site agent through all phases of construction, from pre-design to close-out, by providing qualified construction managers, inspectors, constructability reviewers, schedulers, estimators and safety experts. As new technologies evolve throughout the construction industry, innovative ideas are required to maintain and deliver successful construction projects.

DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker is seeking a Project Administrator to join our Construction Services team in Fort Lauderdale! The Project Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects within the utilities and wastewater sector. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Project Administrator will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules and timelines.
  • Coordinate project meetings, including preparing agendas and documenting minutes.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and compliance reports.
  • Support the procurement process by tracking orders and managing vendor relationships.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in budget tracking and financial reporting for projects.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and external partners.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record keeping.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred, or a minimum of 5 years working as a Project Administrator.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
