Vituity Locations: Vituity has opportunities at 450 practices across the country, serving 8 million patients a year. As part of the Vituity Scribe Program, there are multiple opportunities to fit your needs, including gaining experience in units such as the Emergency Department, Intensivist Care, Telemetry and Medical-Surgical.

The Opportunity

  • Flexible schedule preferred: arrange classroom and floor training for new hires.
  • Site check-ins: Contact your regional lead regularly to get updates on program operations, site updates or changes, and to extend support as needed.
  • Review the Lead Scribe Monthly Report to ensure the site is up to date on compliance matters, staffing, and other site/company requirements.
  • Communicate any matters to program managers or Supervisor of Client Scribe Services.
  • Provide resources and suggestions to the scribe program manager regarding training and/or retaining their scribes.
  • Identify matters going on at the site such as EMR transition, new Scribe Program Manager or Practice Manager, new Scribe Trainer, scribes struggling with documentation, holding effective scribe meetings, rollout of Vituity initiatives such as patient satisfaction, RME, scribe efficiency, etc.
  • Responsible for creating the monthly scribe schedule.
  • Assist with the hiring process of new scribes, including interviewing candidates.

Required Experience and Competencies

  • One (1) year of Scribe experience.
  • Experience documenting electronic medical records.
  • Strong writing skills; legibility and spelling proficiency required.
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team Player and portrays leadership qualities.
  • Customer service skills including providing solution-driven outcomes, establishing relationships, proper phone etiquette, clear verbal and written communication, understanding contrasting perspectives to solve questions.
  • Critical thinking skills, such as using logic and reasoning to approach problems and to identify alternative solutions.
  • Organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management, efficient and timely communication response.

The Practice

Tahoe Forest Hospital - Truckee, California

  • Critical access hospital with 25 acute care beds and an 18-bed Emergency Department.
  • ACS-certified Level III Trauma Center, with seasonal ED census of 15,000 patients.
  • All sub-specialty backups available, onsite POCUS, and Vituity scribe support available.
  • High seasonal variation in census with significant sports-related injuries/polytrauma.
