Who We're Looking For: A motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts well to change to perform environmental testing in New York and New Jersey. You should possess excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to customer service and safety. Candidates must be able to work with minimal supervision, learn quickly, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Environmental Sciences.

Experience:

1-3 years in the industry, with a focus on asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, or mold/moisture inspections.

Skills:

Excellent communication, client management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Certifications:

NYS Mold Assessor, NYS Asbestos Inspector, 40 Hour HAZWOPER, 10/30 Hour Construction Safety, and CIE/CMI are desirable but not required.

Other Requirements:

Mastery of the English language - written and spoken.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to occasionally work at heights greater than 6 feet (examples: ladders, rooftops, man-lifts, scaffolding).
Ability to occasionally work in confined spaces (examples: crawlspaces, attics).
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must be able to walk up/down multiple flights of stairs.
Ability to complete all mandatory trainings, including safety training.
Availability for off-hour emergency work.
Respond as a member of the Hillmann 24-hour disaster response team.

*We welcome candidates with initial asbestos AHERA certifications eligible for state certification tests.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will oversee the functionality of projects under their assignment. Duties include accomplishing project objectives by performing direct field work, report preparation, and quality assurance.

Maintain certifications and licenses.
Manage the day-to-day operational, functional, and customer service aspects of assigned projects.
Perform direct fieldwork including site investigation, sampling, project meetings, and related activities.
Prepare and maintain all project documentation including but not limited to field notes, site photos and plans, sample chain of custody forms, reports, drawings, regulatory forms and filings, scopes of work, operations and maintenance programs, contractor bid materials, and project correspondence.
Assist in the creation and monitoring of project work plans to ensure technical efficacy and the timely completion of tasks and submission of deliverables.
Assist in implementing project review and quality assurance procedures to ensure the successful execution of client engagements.
Manage the day-to-day client, contractor, and vendor interaction on assigned projects.
Effectively communicate relevant project information to their superiors.
Determine applicability of regulations and regulatory jurisdictions over projects with respect to their expertise.
Ensure project files are properly maintained and stored.
