Inventory Control Specialist (Administrative)



Summary of Position: The Inventory Control Specialist oversees the accuracy of inventory levels and supports the efficient flow and tracking of raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the manufacturing process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Ensure proper identification and labeling of all materials and goods.
· Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to ensure timely replenishment of raw materials and components.
· Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP to input data, monitor stock levels, and generate inventory reports.
· Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, ensuring uninterrupted production flow. Track the movement of goods between warehouse and production areas.
· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing root causes, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions.
· Pick finished goods to fulfill Sales Orders and prepare shipments for customers and/or kitting teams.
· Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and increase overall supply chain efficiency.
· Ensure all inventory activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
· Partner with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, procurement, and shipping, to align inventory control efforts with organizational goals.
· Monitor and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory and collaborate with management to develop strategies for minimizing surplus stock.
Qualifications:
· 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP experience.
· Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
· Forklift experience required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the facility. Use of hands and arms to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Work in warehouse or production environments, which may include exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and changing temperatures.
