JOB SUMMARY

In close collaboration with AHS' data teams, the part-time HIV Program Data Manager will be a key participant in data management, analysis, and Clinical Quality Management (CQM). Key responsibilities of the part-time Data Manager will be to master all data elements, structures, and systems to ensure proper data set up and ongoing integrity. Under the supervision of the HIV Program Administrator, the part-time Data Manager will also be responsible for data validation and generating reports. 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

                Responsibilities/Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of data for program
  • Develop and implement data management, strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate the collection, maintenance, and validation of accurate and timely data across systems
  • Design and generate regular reports and analytics to support leadership
  • Manage data-related software systems, databases, and tools, collaborating with data leadership for resolutions
  • Monitor performance and efficiency of data systems, identifying issues and areas of improvement
  • Familiarize and master all data elements, structures, and system to ensure proper validation and ongoing integrity
  • Carefully monitor deadlines to prepare and submit required reports as requested and/or needed
  • Generate monthly/quarterly reports to ensure program is on track to reach goals
  • Ensure data compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Troubleshoot data system issues and respond to reporting questions
  • Utilize data to identify program needs and determine upcoming quality improvement projects
  • Assist with the input and tracking of data
  • Attend trainings, seminars, and meetings to stay abreast on data and system changes
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Education

BS in Public Health, Information Systems, Data Science, or other health related field

Skills/Experience

  • A high level of cultural competency and sensitivity
  • Base knowledge of electronic medical record systems, CAREWare, eClinicalWorks
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with accountability, exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism at all times
  • Demonstrated computer and keyboard proficiency using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and working knowledge of complex data collection software
  • Willingness to learn new data management systems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with HIV care continuum measures and quality improvement frameworks
  • Flexibility to learn and adapt in a changing environment
  • Ability to engage staff, patients, and the community in a non-condescending and empowering way

Work Environment:  Standard office setting with extended periods at workstation and periodic use of office equipment.

Position Type and Work Schedule:  Part-time position, 3 days a week totaling to 22.5 hours. 8:30AM-4:30PM, flexible with Supervisor's approval.

Travel:  Local travel to health centers, trainings, and community meetings may be required.

Physical Demands:  Ability to transport materials, routinely moves equipment or supplies weighing up to 30 lbs.
