Business Product Owner Senior Manager - Hybrid - Express-Scripts (Finance)



Scope of Job:

The Pharmacy Benefit Services (PBS), Operations Business Product Owner (BPO) Organization serves as the key interface and liaison between the business sponsor, client(s), and technology partners to advance high ROI/efficiency, division-wide and enterprise-wide initiatives. The Senior Manager has responsibility for leading a team of individual contributors who work closely with internal and external stakeholders to document the accuracy and comprehensiveness of business requirements for new and modified business applications and/or products. These individuals are recognized internally as "subject matter experts" cross-functionally. To ensure the success of the individuals & team, the Sr Manager must provide vision and strategy to the team, make/support decisions on the appropriateness of business requirements, provide decision guidance for all submitted projects and determine the most appropriate next steps, fostering relationships with cross-functional business and technology partners. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities to foster a high-performing, positive and accountable team environment.

This role will lead and support the following:

  • Management all BPO team responsibilities including staff training and development. Develop, coach, and grow the team - fostering a positive team environment while maintaining a high degree of accountability and service delivery
  • Talent decisions & ongoing team performance support
  • Provide regular updates to direct leader and key cross-functional stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Director on reporting to leadership - appropriate metrics, high-level overviews, box reports, project management updates, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Director to define team goals and strategic plans for continued evolution
  • Holding the team accountable to meet all department expectations and successful delivery of all approved work
  • Support team and process policy development & documentation
  • Work closely with business leaders to ensure business value justifications align to the Value Based Prioritization process
  • Mitigate escalations/concerns/issues on behalf of direct team, identifying accountability and alternate strategies to deliver timely solutions and successful outcomes to the business

  • Keen eye for process improvement with the ability to articulate and act upon interdependencies and redundancies to ensure resource efficiency and minimize duplication of effort.
  • Proven self-starter able to solve complex challenges with minimal guidance or day-to-day direction.
  • Maintain knowledge base on new technology trends, solutions and techniques and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 8 plus years of experience implementing contemporary process improvement methodologies in an operations environment, preferably in the PBM or Pharmacy industry.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and summarize findings; ability to use data to support proposals of potential solutions preferred.
  • Strong focus on customer service preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines and deadlines required.
  • Excellent PC skills within a Microsoft Office environment required.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 124,400 - 207,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
