Payroll Administrator (Finance)

“A Day in the Life”

Ready for an exciting challenge? We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our corporate payroll team and provide day-to-day payroll support to several of our divisions. This role will have responsibility for processing payroll for multiple existing and new locations across the United States. If you are a team player with a strong knowledge of payroll practices and procedures, excellent customer service and communication skills and an analytical, problem-solving mindset, and experienced with ADP Workforce Now and Essential Time & Attendance this is the job for you!

“What You'll Do”

  • Process multiple entity payrolls for 300+ employees on varying bi-weekly payroll schedules with interim pay period transactions.
  • Provide customer service for both employees and management regarding timecards, paychecks, time off, and navigating in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Calculate pay, document and process time records, payroll wages, deductions, taxes and other withholdings for employees using ADP's Workforce Now payroll and Essential Time timekeeping systems
  • Verify accuracy and process multiple incentive programs such as Draw and Commissions
  • Calculates and process special checks, reviews, edits and makes corrections/adjustments as needed.
  • Process employee statements of earnings, deductions and W2s.
  • Collaborate with HR, leadership, and employees to resolve payroll issues, answer inquiries, and clarify payroll policies.
  • Assist with additional payroll tasks, projects, and initiatives as needed.
  • Provide backup payroll support to Payroll Administrators and Payroll Manager as required

“Must Haves”

  • Minimum 5 years' experience processing multi-state payrolls.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on ensuring payroll compliance and precision.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll and personal employee information on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in managing shifting priorities and deadlines to effectively support internal payroll operations, HR initiatives, management directives, and employee inquiries.
  • Process driven yet able to handle exceptions and successfully navigate through ambiguous situations.
  • Able to coordinate/facilitate working with ADP and various state agencies for new location/state setups.
  • Experience with payroll employment and tax laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and payroll processing.

“Nice to Haves”

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Essential Time Timekeeping system preferred
  • ADP Payroll Specialist certification desired

“Special Considerations”

This hybrid role requires regular in-office presence with remote flexibility. Travel (approx. 10%) is needed for mailing duties, team meetings, and occasional payroll support.
