Physician In Charge Primary Care-Nemours Children's Health, Foulk Road (Finance)



Nemours is seeking a Physician in Charge for our Foulk Road office!

At Nemours Children's Health, Foulk Road, we see patients for primary care medical needs like well-child checkups, sick-child care and immunizations, from birth until 18 years old. Our warm and friendly pediatricians are experienced and knowledgeable in an incredible range of children's medical and health issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise office physicians and physician extenders
  • Teaching medical students and residents
  • Oversees the clinical operations of the office.
  • Collaborates with the Office Manager to ensure the office meets quality, financial and value targets.
  • Provides and coordinates primary health services for children from birth to 18 years of age and acts as patient advocate. Sees patients in nursery and inpatient depending on location.
  • Provide appropriate advice, counseling and/or patient teaching for present problem(s) and for health promotion/illness prevention.
  • Provide telephone consultation and triage for patients. Available for on-call rotations as needed.
  • Collaborate with other health care professionals in a team approach to provide comprehensive care.
  • Maintain medical record documentation as per policy.
  • Act as a liaison between families and members of the health care team. Actively participates in a team-based approach to care.

Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • Board eligible or certified in General Pediatrics
  • Eligible for unrestricted Delaware medical license and DEA
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
