E-Commerce Clerk FT (Seasonal) (Biotech)
If you enjoy working with holiday baskets, you will love our E-Commerce position! We are excited to share our SEASONAL (Full-Time) E-Commerce Clerk positions at our Port Jefferson Station Store. This position will be responsible for making holiday baskets and candy platters for all online orders.
This seasonal position offers an hourly wage of $21.05, starts 10/1/25 and ends 12/6/25. (no benefits are offered with this temporary position).
Responsibilities
Will be responsible for selecting and gathering products for customers' on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.Will initiate and complete selection process for customers' on-line orders.The E-Commerce team is responsible for assembling customers' on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up.Read and follow directions provided within the notes section of each orderRetrieve each customer's order from all staging locations and ensure order accuracy, load order into customers' carsFollow policies and procedures to determine appropriate substitutions in the event of an out-of-stockMaintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipmentOther duties and functions as assigned
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of ageAbility to work without supervisionExperience as a personal shopper would be a plusMust be able to speak, read and understand the English languageExcellent oral/written communication skills
Working Conditions
Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects/industrial equipment necessary to perform job duties and functions.
