Family Advisory Council Coordinator-Patient experience (Finance)



Nemours Children's Health is seeking part-time Family Advisory Council Coordinator for our Florida location to work out of Orlando, Jacksonville or Pensacola location.

Position Overview

The Family Advisory Council (FAC) Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Recruitment of parent advisors to participate in the Council.
  • Follow up on referrals, applications, and interviews of parent advisor candidates.
  • Coordinate and facilitate orientation for new parent advisors.
  • Meet with providers and divisions to educate on the function of the FAC and encourage referrals.
  • Work with Marketing and Communications as well as the Social Media department to increase awareness of the Council and for recruitment purposes.
  • Coordinate monthly FAC meetings, develop the agenda, and follow up on items arising from the meetings.
  • Attend the weekly FAC planning meetings and follow up on tasks identified during meeting.
  • Receive requests for agenda items and discuss with staff to determine appropriateness of the request.
  • Create awareness in the Shared Governance structure of the role of the parent advisor.
  • Be an advocate for the role of the families in the Family Advisory Council.
  • Attend all meetings related to the Family Advisory Council.
  • Maintain excellent communication and relationship with Patient Experience and other departments.
  • Submit a summary report after each FAC meeting.
  • Submit an Annual Report of FAC activities.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Relevant Experience may be obtained broadly within pediatric healthcare, not necessarily role specific
