The Executive Director of Kings Views Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and clinical guidance for behavioral health services delivered across multiple California counties, from Shasta to the San Joaquin Valley. This role is responsible for ensuring the use of best practices in behavioral health care, supporting program and fiscal sustainability, and promoting Kings Views mission, values, and One Team culture in all internal and external interactions.

How will I contribute
Provide visionary leadership and strategic planning for Kings Views behavioral health programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Oversee the design, development, and delivery of evidence-based, wellness- and recovery-oriented clinical services.Ensure full compliance with all Federal, State, Regional, and Local laws, regulations, policies, and contract requirements.Collaborate closely with the CEO and Executive Team, maintaining open and transparent communication, accountability, and alignment with performance measures.Supervise and support Regional Directors, Program Developers, and other key leaders to ensure effective service delivery across counties.Analyze program performance and revenue cycle metrics; recommend and implement corrective actions when necessary.Provide fiscal oversight, including forecasting, budgeting, contract negotiation, and resource allocation for behavioral health programs.Work in partnership with the Director of Managed Care to support managed care contract deliverables.Attend Board meetings as requested to report on BHSL direction, challenges, and achievements.Promote a trauma-informed, client-centered culture focused on recovery and positive client outcomes.Represent Kings View in community meetings and build effective partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing staff committed to excellence in care and operational efficiency.Foster autonomy and accountability among directors, supervisors, and managers to manage day-to-day operations effectively.Assess and ensure the right talent is in the right roles; take corrective action when needed.Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall functioning and success of the program.
What I bring
Master's degree in Behavioral Health, Health Administration, Organizational Management, Business or Related field Class C Driving License5 years of senior leadership experience overseeing behavioral health services within a complex organization, managing 50 or more staff across multiple locations. Masters degree or higher in Behavioral Health, Health Administration, Organizational Management, Business, or a related field; or comparable quantitative field or equivalent related work experience. Proven success in building strong relationships with community partners, funders, and stakeholders. Demonstrated effectiveness in staff accountability, performance management, and operational excellence.Strong understanding of Managed Care contracting and behavioral health business development. Knowledge of clinical systems, regulatory frameworks, and program operations in the behavioral health field.Ability to obtain credentialing through the local County Managed Care Department. Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams across multiple sites. Ability to strategically manage complex operations, proactively address challenges, and drive growth and innovation within the Behavioral Health Service Line. Capacity to create and maintain high-functioning teams in a rapidly evolving environment.Strong, results-focused leader who communicates clearly, builds effective teams, and holds staff accountable to ensure high-quality care. Proactive, adaptable, and committed to improving services while supporting a positive, client-centered culture.Active licensure in a Behavioral Health discipline (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, Ph.D., Psy.D.) preferred. Experience leading program growth and development in both nonprofit and for-profit settings. Extensive knowledge of behavioral health services and managed care systems.
