Senior Specialist, Instructional Design (Education)
The Senior Specialist, Instructional Design will play a key role in shaping impactful learning experiences for team members across IMG Academy and its affiliated organizations. This hands-on role is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of engaging instructional content to support enterprise-wide learning goals. The ideal candidate is a creative and technically savvy professional with a strong command of instructional design principles, learning technologies, and visual storytelling.
This role collaborates closely with subject matter experts and the Learning & Development team to produce digital, virtual, and instructor-led training. In addition to content development, the Senior Specialist will support the planning, production, and facilitation of live virtual and in-person learning events, helping ensure a cohesive and engaging learner experience across modalities.
Position Responsibilities
- Design and develop compelling learning experiences, including e-learning modules, instructor-led content, job aids, and videos
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex topics into clear, engaging instructional materials
- Manage course content and learner experiences within the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring seamless integration and navigation
- Support classroom instruction by producing presentation decks, facilitation guides, and engaging learning activities
- Assist in the planning, production, and facilitation of live learning sessions, both virtual and in-person
- Apply visual design principles to create high-impact graphics, layouts, and learning visuals
- Evaluate learning solutions using data and feedback to refine and improve instructional effectiveness
- Stay current on learning technologies and recommend innovative approaches for content delivery and engagement
- Ensure content is consistent with brand guidelines and aligned with IMG Academy's standards for excellence
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or corporate training
- Proficient with design authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, or other equivalent platforms
- Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance the instructional design process, including content generation, personalization, or workflow efficiency
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems
- Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for layout, color, and user experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines and deliverables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with both independent work and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment
- Experience facilitating or supporting live learning environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting learning programs in sports, education, or youth development settings
- Familiarity with video production and editing tools
- Experience delivering or co-facilitating workshops and training sessions
