Junior Staff Accountant (Education)

As a Junior Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in keeping our business running smoothly and compliantly. From production data entry and licensing to account reconciliation and reporting, your attention to detail will help support the daily flow and year-end accuracy of a growing, fast-paced company.
What You'll Do:
Accurately enter daily production and packaging activity into Sage and analyze cost variances.
Maintain current and valid licenses across all operating locations.
Apply customer payments and assist with accounts receivable collections.
Track and manage fleet and fuel data.
Collect and update vendor W-9s and certificates of insurance.
Reconcile vendor statements monthly and assist in 1099 year-end processing.
Support monthly close, account analysis, and general recordkeeping.
Cross-train within the accounting team to provide backup support where needed.
What Experience You Will Have:
Associate degree or higher or equivalent work experience in accounting or finance.
2+ years of accounting or administrative experience in dairy, cheese, or food manufacturing is a plus.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills are highly desirable but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong general computer skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Team-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A sharp eye for detail and a drive to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
