Advanced Mech Design Engr (Finance)



As a Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will plan, configure, and execute conveyor system projects for large distribution centers. Our engineers perform a variety of vital engineering design and analysis tasks involving the planning, configuring and execution of conveyor system projects for large distribution centers. The Structural Engineering group is responsible for design and analysis of standard and custom equipment supports, load path analysis and coordination with roof designers, connections to buildings and preparation of building permit submittals.

You will report directly to our Mechanical Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Mason, OH location on a hybrid work schedule. • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

• PE in good standing or ability and willingness to obtain PE within 6 months. Current NCEES record is a plus.

  • Steel design - AISI and AISC specs and standards
  • Bolted and welded connections
  • Anchor bolt design to existing concrete
  • Concrete slab on grade and elevated slabs (1 way, 2 way and composite)
  • International Building Code / ASCE 7-16
  • Seismic Lateral forces
  • 2D and 3D structural analysis
  • 3D AutoCAD, StaadPro, Revit
  • Creating and maintaining shop drawings and bills of material, ordering materials
  • Creating and maintaining computational spreadsheets
