Key Accountabilities
Key Roles & Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent will:
- Prepare and review various financial statements, journals, rate case schedules and budget forecasts. Plan, perform and lead new and/or complex audits and special projects
- Coordinate, consolidate, report and prepare analysis of capital budget to aid management in decisions. Develop performance measures to assist management in business decisions.
Education, Experience & Skill Requirements
- Bachelor/Masters degree in accounting/finance and 7-9 years accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Thorough knowledge of the functions of the accounting organizations such as Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Payroll, Budget, Tax, Plant and Construction Accounting.
- Energy industry experience preferred but not required.
- CPA desirable but not required.
- Advanced Excel skills and solid functional knowledge of Word and Power Point applications.
- Excellent financial analysis, problem solving and communication skills.
- Process improvement oriented.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with the financial closing process
