ROLE SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant at Locke Solutions will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks including daily cash management, receivables processing, reconciliations, financial reporting, and process improvements.

Onsite/hybrid is preferred, but exceptional fully remote U.S.-based candidates will be considered.
Successful Key Results for the Senior Accountant:

Analyze daily cash receipts and payments, ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.
Execute the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Collaborate with internal departments to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
Spearhead process improvement projects to find efficiencies in accounting processes.


Responsibilities:

Executing and providing support relevant to the day-to-day accounting tasks; including invoices, collections, and credit management.
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Implement and monitor standard cost systems -- and explain variances to operations.
Execute the month-end and year-end close processes.
Perform the reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.
Supporting the Audit and Tax Requests (PBC list, schedules, pulling documentation).
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Maintain critical compliance and tax calendar.
Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards and assess their impact on the organization.


Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Ability to become proficient in industry specific accounting software.
Intermediate Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables, Data Cleaning/Analysis).
CPA certification preferred but not required.
