The Case Manager Supervisor oversees the delivery of case management services to individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), and co-occurring disorders, including those experiencing homelessness or housing instability. This role combines supervisory responsibilities with advanced case management expertise, ensuring high-quality, client-centered services while supporting staff development and program effectiveness. The Case Manager Supervisor provides leadership to the case management team, including training, coaching, performance feedback, and field-based support. This position also collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, and community partners to ensure coordinated care, promote client stability, and facilitate progress toward recovery goals.

How will I contribute
Supervise and mentor case management staff, providing guidance, training, and regular performance feedback to ensure service quality and compliance with policies and regulations.Manage daily operations of the case management team, including caseload assignments, service coordination, and workflow oversight.Provide advanced case management services to individuals with complex mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders, with a focus on high-needs and unhoused populations.Collaborate with clinical staff to develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and recovery plans.Assist clients in building skills for daily living, self-care, medication adherence, socialization, and resource navigation to support independence and stability.Support program design, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives; assist in creating workflows, documentation tools, and service tracking systems.Facilitate case conferences, interdisciplinary coordination, and warm hand-offs to partnering agencies.Monitor client progress, track outcomes, and ensure timely, accurate documentation in the SmartCare Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.Implement engagement strategies to reduce barriers to care, improve retention, and promote positive treatment outcomes.Coordinate and oversee linkages to wraparound services, including housing support, benefits assistance, employment programs, transportation, and healthcare providers.Assist with program reporting, audits, and site reviews, ensuring readiness and compliance.Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA, Title 9, and other applicable regulations.Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall functioning and success of the program.Use of company vehicles may be monitored by in-vehicle dashcam systems for safety, compliance, and operational purposes. These devices may record video, audio, and telematics data during vehicle operation. As a condition of employment in a position that requires driving an agency vehicle, consent to the use of dashcam technology is required. Refusal to consent to dashcam monitoring may disqualify individuals from driving duties or result in reassignment to a non-driving role.May encounter risk of working with persons with SMI (serious mental illness) that may include, but not limited to persons in mental health crisis, persons that may be intoxicated or impaired by drugs or alcohol, persons who may be DTO (danger to others), DTS (Danger to Self), or GD (Gravely Disabled). If such situations arise, staff will be required to call local emergency personnel to help deescalate the crisis, use crisis intervention techniques, and consult with supervisor as soon as practically possible.

What I bring

Bachelor's Degree
4 years of experience in behavioral health case management, with at least 2 years in a leadership, mentoring, or senior-level role; or comparable quantitative field or equivalent related work experience.Class C Driving LicenseDemonstrates advanced knowledge of behavioral health conditions, including Serious Mental Illness (SMI), co-occurring disorders, and substance use. Skilled in recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practices, case coordination, and navigating complex systems of care such as housing, benefits, and community-based services. Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., SmartCare) and regulatory standards such as HIPAA, Title 9, and Medi-Cal documentation requirements.Able to build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners. Demonstrates the ability to lead, mentor, and support staff while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Capable of exercising sound judgment, maintaining professional boundaries, and responding effectively to crisis situations. Proficient in planning, organizing, and delivering client-centered services with accuracy and timeliness.Demonstrates integrity, reliability, and a strong commitment to ethical service delivery. Maintains professionalism, accountability, and a solution-focused approach in all interactions. Exhibits compassion, cultural humility, and a genuine dedication to supporting others in their recovery journey. Leads by example with honesty, discretion, and a collaborative spirit, while consistently upholding confidentiality and organizational values.Strong understanding of behavioral health and co-occurring disorders, with experience supporting individuals through complex care coordination. Proficiency in electronic health records (SmartCare preferred) and familiarity with Medi-Cal service models such as CalAIM or CCBHC. Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are highly desirable. Skilled in motivational interviewing, crisis de-escalation, and trauma-informed care approaches.
