  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internet search engines.
  • 10 years or more work experience in a lean/continuous improvement environment, preferred.
  • General mechanical experience maintaining equipment.
  • General organizational and time management skills.
  • Possess fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of the manufacturing processes.
  • Possess the ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings
    and/or weekends.
  • Ability to take initiative and anticipate needs, work independently with minimal
    guidance.

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Facility & Grounds Technician in Middlton, TN.

This role is responsible for acting as company liaison with contractors/subcontractors performing work in and around the facility and provide routine maintenance & repair of facility systems as needed. Performs maintenance and installation duties as well as multi-craft trade including: hydraulics, electronics and electrically powered motor and motor control circuits, mechanical components, HVAC, and electrical components.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs PMs and routine maintenance, installation and integration of various types of process control instrumentation equipment such as transmitters, controllers, integrators, recorders, and PLCs.
  • Carpentry - May perform advance carpentry work. Will perform repairs to walls, doors, trim and windows. Will be responsible for fabricating and maintaining metal, ladders and catwalks as required.
  • Plumbing and Pneumatics - Will be responsible for repairing and installing
    industrial plumbing systems
  • Electrical- Will be required to solve A/C and D/C electrical problems install
    electric circuits which involves working within industrial shop-like environment;
    requires ability to perceive color to distinguish color coded wiring components.
    Will also make sure that electrical systems are operating safely and efficiently. .
  • Contracting and Sub-Contracting Liaison - Depending on the situation, may act as company liaison with contractors / sub-contractors performing work in and around the facility. Will also assist Fire Protection System contractors as needed/required.
  • Landscaping/Grounds - Responsible for coordinating and maintaining facility, grass, trees, bushes and other plant life in addition to maintaining the exterior aesthetics of the building.
  • HVAC System - Provide routine maintenance / repair as needed. Assist HVAC
    contractors in resolving heating, ventilation, and air conditioning issues.
  • Manually installs air lines, water pipes, and other compressed gas lines as
    required.
  • Performs required maintenance welding, torch heating and cutting.
  • Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs, maintains assembles and
    lubricates electrical equipment taking all safety precautions.
  • Work on elevated platforms and equipment.
  • Receives written and oral job assignments and instructions from supervisor.
