Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a ICT Test Engineer located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the ICT Test Engineer will in charge for sustaining ICT test programs for a variety of customers in different industries (quality, etc.), and is responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment.

Shift 5:00 am – 5:00 pm Fri, Sat, Sun

What a typical day looks like:

• Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, telemeter and record test data.
• Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
• Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
• Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
• Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
• Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
• Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
• Develops and/or supports quality comprehensive test programs.
• Develops or modifies test models.
• Performs written evaluation of fault grade.
• Develops quotes for test development and enhancements.
• Performs test ability evaluation (DFT).
• Performs mechanical evaluation of test fixtures.
• Coordinates 3rd part development of in-circuit programs, enhancements, and test fixtures

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 6+ years of related experience supporting ICT testing in an electronic manufacturing environment.
• ICT Keysight 3070 programming, troubleshooting and support experience.
• Must have experience with Boundary scan (IEEE 1149).
• Experience working with and presenting to a cross functional team, internal stakeholders and external customers/vendor engineers.
• Experience working with Teradyne and Genrad ICT Testing Equipment (preferred).
• Python, Perl scripting experience (preferred).
