About the Role
Position: Custodial Supervisor
Location: Manhattan, Kansas

As a Custodial Supervisor with LB&B Associates, Inc., youll provide essential direction to our custodial teams, ensuring cleanliness, health, and functionality are maintained to the highest standards. What Youll Do
Roll up your sleeves and get ready for a dynamic, rewarding leadership role! As a Custodial Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
Supervise, train, and motivate custodial staff to deliver outstanding service and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Oversee daily cleaning operations across all facility areas, ensuring all tasks are completed to company and client standards.
Develop work schedules, assign daily tasks, and monitor progress for efficiency and quality.
Conduct regular inspections of offices, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and common areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
Coordinate routine and deep cleaning projects, and manage setup/breakdown for events and meetings.
Order and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, ensure proper use and storage of chemicals and equipment.
Uphold safety guidelines and ensure team uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Lead by example in following eco-friendly cleaning practices and supporting sustainability initiatives.
Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs or facility issues and coordinate with facility managers for quick resolution.
Complete and maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, supply usage, performance evaluations, and maintenance requests.
Coach and develop team members, providing regular feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Promote a positive work environment and effective communication among staff, clients, and supervisors.
Monitor building security procedures related to custodial duties and report risks or safety hazards.
What Were Looking For
Are you a leader who brings expertise, enthusiasm, and a drive for excellence? Were seeking candidates with:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or certifications in facility management are a plus.
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in custodial, janitorial, or facility services (commercial, educational, or healthcare settings preferred).
Proficiency with a range of cleaning equipment, technologies, and safety procedures.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, green cleaning products, and environmental best practices.
Exceptional attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
Physical stamina and ability to assist with hands-on tasks as needed.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to motivate and coach a diverse team, foster teamwork, and resolve conflicts.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective interaction with employees, clients, and management.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and occasional after-hours needs.
Experience with inventory management and procurement is an asset.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
Manual dexterity and mobility for supervision and hands-on cleaning tasks.
Exposure to cleaning agents, chemicals, and dust (with appropriate PPE provided).
Occasional work at heights or in confined spaces as required by facility operations.
