Vendor Data & Operations Manager-Hybrid (Finance)

Are you passionate about data, vendor management, and driving operational excellence? We're looking for a Vendor Data & Operations Manager to join our team and lead strategic partnerships with key third-party data vendors. This role is critical in supporting our Risk Management and Underwriting functions by ensuring data integrity, contract compliance, and cross-functional alignment.

You'll serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and vendors, helping to unlock the full value of our data partnerships while safeguarding compliance and supporting enterprise-wide initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the main point of contact for multiple third-party data vendors, managing communications, priorities, and relationship health.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on vendor data-understanding its structure, quality, usage, and integration across internal systems.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across Data & Analytics, Pricing, Actuarial, and Underwriting to align on data needs and priorities.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables meet expectations and service level agreements (SLAs); escalate and resolve issues as needed.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including negotiations, renewals, amendments, and compliance oversight.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, and Risk teams to ensure contracts meet organizational standards and data use remains within agreed boundaries.
  • Support strategic planning and new use cases for vendor data across the enterprise.
  • Maintain clear documentation of vendor activities, decisions, and internal engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Data Management, or a related field-or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor relationship management, project management, or healthcare underwriting.
  • Strong understanding of large or complex data sets; experience with data analysis is a plus.
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes and tools is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with contract management and vendor governance is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive innovation.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 109,600 - 182,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
