Job Summary

The role of the leader is to support each region in attaining best practice operations. The leader will assist the task force chairmen to coordinate the operation of the task forces and to ensure transmission of learnings across the regions. This involves attending cluster task force meetings to ensure that roadmaps are focused on key performance topics and to provide technical assistance, where required, using internal or external resources. The leader also chairs a global gathering of the specific cluster task force chairmen to ensure learnings across CRH.

Job Location

This role is based at our corporate office in the Perimeter area of Atlanta, GA - hybrid work schedule

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of optimal plant performance to achieve quality clinker and cement to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure that CRH production facilities are aware of world class developments in the sector and are well placed to implement such developments effectively
  • To challenge the businesses, particularly in terms of developing roadmaps targets, benchmarking performance, etc.
  • Lead the CRH Task Force group to achieve:
  • World class performance levels in all cement plants
  • Promote and facilitate knowledge transfer among the Task Force community in CRH
  • Implementation of CRH's policies
  • Attend Task Force meetings and liaise with cluster chairman to provide expert assistance
  • Advise, support and challenge the plant teams
  • Participate in CRHs Technical Management Team initiatives
  • Assist cluster task force in attaining best practice
  • Develop expert support solutions
  • Implement measurement systems for best practice
  • Report on road map development and management

Job Requirements

  • Engineering degree with at least 10 years' experience in the cement industry
  • A strong understanding of cement maintenance practices, including maintenance organizational structures and systems to support the management of maintenance.
  • Expert knowledge of cement
  • Clarity on best practice in the cement /concrete industry
  • Strong understanding of cement and concrete production processes, raw materials, equipment and cement/concrete products
  • Awareness of current and future challenges to the cement sector
  • Experience in advising senior management
  • Experience of managing operational teams
  • Experience working in different cultures will be an advantage
