This is an entry level apprentice position to the Test Technician II. Must be able to perform the following analytical duties in a reasonable and productive time frame.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate basic knowledge of refrigeration and electrical components, their use, and the proper operation of those components
Must be familiar with HVAC and dehumidification systems
Must have knowledge of different refrigerant gasses (R-134, R407C, R410A, etc...)
Must have basic industrial electrical knowledge to trouble shoot HVAC or environmental control systems
Must be willing to assist the Test Technician II
Other duties, as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience prior to advancing to the next level
Ability to use all appropriate test equipment including, but not limited to, meters, refrigeration gauges, etc
Ability to use all safe practices when dealing with electricity and pressurized systems
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Section 608 Technician Certification
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization
Ability to work from verbal and written instruction
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Working knowledge of HVAC formulas used in sizing/selection of product and a complete understanding of psychometrics and the use of psychometric formulas
