We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative Senior Manager of Vendor Management to lead our Contingent Labor Procurement function. This role will be responsible for developing and executing vendor management strategies for third-party staffing suppliers and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), ensuring operational excellence, compliance, cost-efficiency, and scalability of our external workforce.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in procurement, vendor management, and contingent workforce programs, along with strong negotiation, relationship management, and data analytics capabilities.

Your role:

Vendor Strategy & Management

  • Lead the end-to-end vendor lifecycle for contingent labor providers, including sourcing, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with staffing agencies, MSPs, and independent contractor platforms.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for all contingent workforce vendors.

Program Governance & Optimization
  • Design and implement governance models, including SLAs, KPIs, QBRs, and scorecards to ensure vendor accountability and performance.
  • Continuously evaluate vendor performance and identify opportunities for consolidation, cost savings, or capability enhancement.

Contracting & Negotiation
  • Lead contract negotiations, including rate structures, terms & conditions, and service-level expectations.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and risk mitigation standards.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Hiring Managers to support workforce planning and execution.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on contingent labor strategy and vendor selection.

Data, Reporting & Technology
  • Leverage VMS (Vendor Management System) platforms and internal tools to track spend, usage, compliance, and performance metrics.
  • Deliver regular reports, analytics, and insights to support decision-making and demonstrate ROI.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in sourcing, vendor management, or workforce strategy with at least 3 years of experience working on contingent labor in a management level position.
  • Strong experience with Vendor Management Systems (e.g., VNDLY, Beeline, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar vendor portfolios and complex service agreements.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management.
  • Deep understanding of labor laws, independent contractor compliance, and contingent workforce trends.
  • Strong Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management skills.
  • Excellent business acumen, financial, cost modeling, data analysis, and root cause problem solving skills.
  • Experience negotiating complex contracts including strategic partnerships, pricing, SLAs, and other terms and conditions.
  • Ability to track and manage supplier performance and set expectations for improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively identify, evaluate and implement solutions for customers.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes, determining business requirements, and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with global contingent labor programs and international vendor management.
  • Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) or project management (e.g., PMP).
  • Change management and process improvement experience (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $131,700.00 - $223,900.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
