  • This position requires a college degree or substantial equivalent business experience in customer sales.

  • 3 years minimum Aerospace commercial (sales and/or marketing) experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years in Aerospace Industry with Aerospace commercial experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong customer relationship management skills and a proven track record in driving market volume, revenue generation and start up product lines. They will have demonstrated success in developing and commercializing new products in an existing metals marketplace.
  • Understanding of management, tools, and systems in order to determine appropriate processes and process improvements.
Howmet Structures Systems (HSS) is seeking an Inside Sales Supervisor in the Cleveland area.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this position is accountable to provide systems implementation, training, support and supervision for the Inside Sales Staff to support organizational objectives. All Inside Sales Representatives for Howmet's Cleveland Forging location will report to the Inside Sales Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities :

  • Owner of customer account portfolio -- Howmet's front-line eyes, ears, and voice for customer issues.
  • Direct support to facility on all customer matters which could impact customer relations and delay on time input or shipment of customer requirements.
  • Coordinates key customer activity with field sales representatives.
  • Responsible for processing orders and any changes to orders.
  • Manage Account Receivable balances.
  • Other key strategic duties as assigned
  • Customer advocate--functions as single point of contact and owns customer needs as an internal representative; challenges internal systems and processes to stretch to increasing and changing demands; committed to internal improvement through service
  • Communication and relationship--proactive communicator internally so that other leaders have information from customers and vice versa; provides accurate and timely information and builds relationship by helping others know what to expect; insists on the integrity of doing what we say we will do; builds rapport with customers and solicits their feedback
  • Coordinates customer visits to the Howmet facility following guidelines and proper visitor clearance.
  • Maintains records of contracts, purchase order changes, and schedules for necessary review when applicable
  • Helps to manage customer scorecards to ensure accuracy as well as works to improve for better customer recognition.
  • Negotiates commercial issues which arise in the normal course of business (Push outs, design changes, etc.)
  • Completes coordination of assigned account portfolio: all forecasting of firm and anticipated requirements identified and resolution of open items and ensures all order changes are managed properly.
  • Support Quoting Initiatives for customers

In addition to possibly managing a customer base, the Inside Sales Supervisor is also accountable for the following:
  • Supervise all activities, initiatives, responsibilities and performance of the Inside Sales Staff.
  • Provide all necessary systems training to support the Inside Sales Representatives.
  • The Inside Sales Supervisor will be the lead interface between the Howmet IT Group and the Sales/Marketing Organization for all Oracle and EBS activities.
  • Provide direction to the Inside Sales teams via setting performance objectives and assessment.
  • Maintain a standard process for Invoice/Credit transactions including monthly decisions on income statement adjustments and accruals.
  • Provide the necessary business metrics each month to the HES business leadership team.
  • Maintain the Inside Sales Training Manual and oversee compliance by Inside Sales personnel.
  • Oversee contract review capability and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure transaction capability for handling government orders and international sales activity.
  • Manage all budget activity associated with the Inside Sales Department.
  • As staffing & workload require, this position may temporarily fill-in & assume the duties of an Inside Sales Representative.
