USF Health-Byrd - Open Rank (Finance)



We are seeking candidates for tenured or tenure-track positions at all ranks who work on the molecular basis of neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, ALS-FTD, Ataxia, Huntington's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke/vascular dementia, and other neurological and psychiatric disorders, as well as aging and brain repair. Successful candidates for these positions are expected to have already established or have the potential to develop a nationally recognized, competitively funded research program and participate in graduate/medical student education and mentoring. Successful candidates will be provided with dry and wet laboratory space at the Byrd Institute or CEABR and be placed in a home department at the USF Morsani College of Medicine. Based on qualifications, the home department may be Molecular Pharmacology & Physiology, Molecular Medicine, Pathology and Cell Biology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, or other relevant departments. Successful candidates will be offered institutional salary support commensurate with experience and highly competitive start-up packages that promote success.MINIMUM:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. For Associate/Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.Working at USF
