Pay Ranges: $33.96-$36.03

The Program Coordinator will be essential in planning, coordinating, and managing special projects within the Madera Youth Empowerment Program. This role involves directing project activities, supervising team members, and ensuring the efficient operation of mental health and suicide prevention services while adhering to relevant regulations and reporting duties. The Coordinator will collaborate with various stakeholders and school administrators to drive project success and enhance mental health prevention and early intervention services in the schools and community.

How will I contribute

Plan, coordinate, and support the Program Manager with organizational tasks for special projects within the division.Serve as the primary liaison between the program team, school administrators, school staff, parents, and other community partners.Implement program-related logistics, including curriculum and material preparation, resource distribution, and school site arrangements.Direct and coordinate activities and scheduling involving project personnel for multiple school sites to ensure successful project execution.Create detailed work plans, set timelines, and establish budgets in collaboration with Financial and Quality Improvement Analysts and Program Manager.Coordinate orientation sessions, provide essential training materials, and familiarize new employees with organizational policies and procedures.Conduct regular follow-ups to address any questions and facilitate a smooth transition into new hires' roles.Track employee training/certification requirements and deadlines, and complete follow-up with staff as needed.Track program participation, collect and analyze data to conduct project evaluation.Oversee Mental Health Awareness Outreach Events and coordinate efforts.Exercise independent judgment and discretion in project planning and execution.Engage in high-level problem-solving related to project challenges, including resource allocation and prioritization.Ability to travel to school and community locations to provide contracted services, including Northern and Eastern Madera County.Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall functioning and success of the program.

What I bring

Bachelor Degree Mental Health, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related
1 year of experience in the mental health or social services field, providing project coordination, management, or a similar role; or comparable quantitative field or equivalent related work experience. Experience supervising staff members, managing schedules, and other personnel logistics. Class C Driving LicenseKnowledge of basic principles for mental health and suicide prevention, and trauma-informed care. Knowledge of methods of interviewing, crisis intervention, and assessing psychosocial behaviors. Experience implementing strength-based and culturally appropriate services. Experience working with youth preferred. Ability to process emotionally intense situations. Ability to engage youth during educational instruction. Comfortable with public speaking, social media, and curriculum creation and implementation. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Some flexibility in schedule/hours is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Ability to process emotionally intense situations. Ability to engage youth during educational instruction. Comfortable with public speaking, social media, and curriculum creation and implementation. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Some flexibility in schedule/hours is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Masters degree in a related field preferred (e.g., Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology). Knowledge of mental health regulations and ethical standards is a plus.
