Tool and Die Repair Technician (Finance)



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Repair, grind, shim, and sharpen a variety of single station and progressive stamping dies for steel and aluminum.
  • Assist with manufacturing spare detail sections for critical stamping dies.
  • Assist with manufacturing spare parts for a variety of other metal forming equipment (ex: Riveters).
  • Remove and set up larger progressive stamping dies in 300-400-ton presses.
  • Assist with training Die Setters on proper set up of smaller stamping dies.
  • Assist with manufacturing and assembly of machined parts for custom in house-built equipment to support manufacturing processes.
  • Support plant manufacturing operations as needed.
  • Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a metal stamping facility.

Physical Requirements:Able to list 50 lbs., stand and walk for prolonged periods of time on the manufacturing floor.

Work Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to manufacturing equipment and machinery, forklifts, and pallets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is regularly exposed to hot and cold weather conditions. Personal protective equipment is required in all areas of the production plant.
