Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Debug Technician located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Debug Technician's role conducts, tests, and troubleshoots electronic product, components and systems to ensure production quality standards are met.

Shift: 7am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

What a typical day looks like:

  • Ensures that test processes are within all safety specifications.
  • Coordinates and ensures that effective preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and daily measurement schedules are in place for each test process.
  • Follows Engineering test processes and guideline.
  • Configures/flashes firmware, CPLD, BIOS and PSA programming.
  • Troubleshoots/debugs from system to components levels (using schematic diagram and assembly process.) 
  • Ability to determine workmanship errors and drive back through feedbacks.
  • Assists with the installation, debug and validation of process equipment.
  • Able to read fail defect logs and address trending failures.
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
  • Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Have experience and associate degree, technical training or equivalent experience.
  • Requires ability to read schematic\drawing and use measurement instruments as well as the ability to interpret a variety of instructions
  • Use of the following tools may be required:

Electronic Assembly: schematics, PCB point to point wiring;

Cables: connector/ wire soldering;

Testing: oscilloscope, cable & harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer; Inspection: PCB loaded, components, cable/harness, microscope

  • Can perform analyses/work using some independent judgment
