You are:

A strategic thinker and senior advisor with deep experience in Financial Markets Infrastructure (FMI), including Exchanges, Clearing Houses, Depositories, Market Data, and Service Providers. You bring a consulting toolkit sharpened at a top-tier firm (MBB or Big 4 Strategy) and have worked closely with C-suites to solve high-stakes challenges across trading, operations, technology, and risk.

The work:

  • Lead and win new business, partnering with Managing Directors and firm leadership to develop go-to-market strategies, shape proposals, and cultivate senior client relationships.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex client engagements - from defining strategic direction to executing transformation - ensuring delivery excellence across teams.
  • Shape content and structure thinking, directly or through guiding consulting teams, bringing frameworks, analytical depth, and market insights to the table.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, helping clients navigate disruption, modernize operations, deploy new technologies, and drive long-term growth.
  • Drive thought leadership and innovation, staying ahead of macro Financial Markets Infrastructure trends (e.g., real-time settlement, digital assets, interoperability, regulatory change, AI) and translating insight into client impact.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities to build new offerings and capabilities aligned to market needs and client demand.
  • Coach and develop consulting talent, sharing expertise and fostering a high-performing, intellectually rigorous team culture.

Here's what you need:

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Strategy&, EY-Parthenon, Monitor Deloitte), or a mix of consulting and industry roles supporting FMI's or Asset/Wealth Management firms.
  • Strong background in one or more of the following:
    • Business Model and Growth Strategy
    • Cost and Operational Efficiency Programs
    • M&A Strategy, Diligence, and Integration
    • Revenue Optimization and Pricing Strategy
    • Data & Platform Modernization
    • Risk, Controls, and Operating Model Design
    • Innovation, Digital, AI, and Analytics Enablement
  • Proven ability to build client relationships and originate and lead transformational work.
  • Strong executive presence, confident engaging with senior stakeholders and facilitating strategic conversations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a track record of shaping and delivering solutions to complex challenges.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degrees welcome.

Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.

The salary range is $175,000 - $275,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
