Warehouse Associate (Information Technology)



Position Summary
The warehouse associate is primarily responsible for performing the essential duties and responsibilities as defined below. Following safe practices and accurate execution of the defined processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain fork lift certification.
Operating material handling equipment in a safe manner.
Use of a handheld RF devices to peform the following duties as defined by Warehouse Supervisor assistant and Logistics Team Leader:
o Accurately receive and put away inbound product per standard work instructions.
o Pick orders and stage product as defined in standard work instructions.
o Label and audit product as defined in standard work instructions.
Safely and efficiently load and unload trailers within commercially accepted guidelines.
Operating and working in the returnable wash area as required. Safetly perform standard work and duties for the returnable storage and wash area.
Peform cycle counts as needed.
Communicate quality issues to Supervisor Assistant and/or Logistics Team Leader.
o Damaged or inadequate packaging and labeling.
o Oil leaks or debris.

Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and/or 1 year Shipping and Receiving experience and/or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Special Knowledge/ Experience, Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Requirements
Basic knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, basic skills in order to use hand held RF devices.

Language Skills Requirements
Intermediate Able to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals. Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to communicate basic information effectively to groups of peers and subordinates.

Mathematical Skills Requirements
Intermediate Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Able to apply to practical situations figures such as percentages, PPM, ratios, proportions, area, and volume. Able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Able to create/interpret graphs.

Reasoning Skills Requirements
Intermediate Able to apply basic principles to define issues, collect data, establish facts, develop solutions to solve basic problems. Ability to comprehend a variety of basic instructions, data, and other information furnished in various formats.

Work Environment
While performing the essential functions of this job, the primary work environment will be:
Warehouse operations, including operating and working closely with Material Handling equipment.
Physical environment can include hot, cold, humid, dry, dusty, and other general weather conditions.

While performing the essential functions of this job, other work environments periodically encountered will be:
Office areas
Outside areas including hot, cold, humid, dry, dusty, and other general weather conditions

Personal Protective Equipment shall be worn as required in specified areas.

Expected Travel
Travel is unexpected for this position but may occur on occasions.
