Production Scheduler (Finance)



Job Summary The Production Scheduler develops and maintains detailed production schedules to meet delivery deadlines, balance inventory, and maximize production efficiency. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to align operations with customer demand and business goals. Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery dates, considering current capacity, labor, and material availability. Monitor daily schedule execution and proactively address delays, part shortages, or equipment downtime to keep production on track. Communicate potential disruptions or at-risk jobs to Master Scheduler, Production Control, and Operations to drive timely decisions. Collaborate with supply chain, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to align schedules with available resources and resolve conflicts. Track and report schedule adherence metrics, adjusting future plans based on trends or performance gaps. Analyze production workflows and recommend improvements that reduce lead times and enhance throughput. Support compliance efforts by ensuring scheduled work aligns with customer requirements, quality standards, and internal procedures. Uphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence. Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator. Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices. Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field; or 3+ years' experience in production scheduling or planning in a manufacturing setting; or Equivalent combination of education and experience. Must pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC certification program. Physical: Frequent use of computer systems; extended periods of sitting with occasional movement. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.; regular bending, reaching, and walking. Clear vision and hearing required for screen work and communication. Working Conditions: Split time between office and production floor. Exposure to moderate shop noise and equipment activity. PPE required in manufacturing areas. Knowledge: -Production methods, capacity planning, and workflow sequencing. -Administrative practices, reporting tools, and document control. -Supply chain coordination and manufacturing constraints. Skills: -Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. -Analyze complex information and adjust plans accordingly. -Use ERP, MS Office, and planning tools for schedule development. -Identify delays and implement adjustments to protect delivery timelines Abilities: -Maintain focus while managing shifting priorities. -Apply logic and decision-making to real-time production challenges. -Recognize disruptions early and act decisively. -Adapt to evolving production needs while upholding schedule integrity.
