As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical solutions within the Honeywell Building Automation (BA) - Fire Safety Solutions group. You will work on innovative projects that push the boundaries of engineering and technology, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing cutting-edge tools and methodologies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our design processes.

In this role, you will impact Honeywell by driving innovation in mechanical design, enhancing product performance, ensuring design quality, and contributing to the overall success of our engineering projects. Your proficiency in CAD software and other design tools will enable you to effectively manage the design process and deliver high-performance mechanical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Your expertise in mechanical design principles and methodologies will ensure that products developed meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications
  • Design and Development: Drive the mechanical design process, from concept to production
  • Design and develop complex electro-mechanical systems, components, and assemblies
  • Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability
  • CAD based modeling (CREO a plus)

The annual base salary range for this position is $102,000 - $127,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.As an Advanced Mech Design Engr here at Honeywell, you will design and develop advanced mechanical systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovation in mechanical design and product performance. You will report directly to our Engineering Director and you'll work out of our Saint Charles, IL location on a Hybrid work schedule.YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design and development
  • Expertise in CAD software, such as CREO, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA

WE VALUE

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies
  • Proficiency in CAD based modeling (Creo is of value)
  • Experience with advanced mechanical design techniques and tools
  • Design engineering in electro-mechanical products
  • Experience with Team Center is of value
  • Stress Analysis (Ansys experience preferred)
  • Knowledge in Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • Experience developing new products or sustaining existing products
