About the Role

We're looking for an Accountant to join our Finance & Administration team at Circle S Ranch. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on accuracy, enjoys variety in their day, and wants to grow their career in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with our Controller and leadership team on everything from general ledger activities to budgets, audits, and financial reporting, while also supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable.

This is a full-time, exempt position (40 hours per week) based in Monroe, NC.


What You'll Do

  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.

  • Process work orders, inventories, and grower settlements.

  • Provide accurate data entry, analysis, and reconciliations.

  • Draft monthly financial reports for departments and leadership.

  • Support team members across A/R, A/P, and other accounting functions.

  • Maintain and update the chart of accounts.

  • Assist with quarterly and year-end statements and reporting.

  • Contribute to annual budget preparation and financial audits.

  • Take on special projects and additional tasks as assigned.


What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: Prior work with general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable required; agricultural accounting experience a plus.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel – intermediate/advanced). Experience with Manager Plus or Cultura software a bonus.

  • Personal Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities. Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams.

  • Professional Traits: High integrity, discretion with sensitive information, and a commitment to deadlines.

Physical Requirements

This role requires light walking, standing, and lifting (up to 25 lbs). It also involves daily computer use, with the ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone.
