Structural Designer (Manufacturing)

• Creates innovative design solutions and produces samples to meet customer requirements
• Review s sample requests for layout and planning of project with key stakeholders
• Effectively manages multiple projects and provides ongoing status reports to key stakeholders
• Develop specifications and diagrams to be used for pr oduction orders
• Creates set-up instructions and/or animations for end user
• Supports sales team including interaction with customer s and/or vendor s
• Reviews in-process production orders to assure conformance to design functionality
• Facilitates or executes product testing as required
• Participates in industry trade shows and events including set-up and/or professional development opportunities

Education & Experience

• Technical degree required , Bachelor's degree preferred
• P roficient in t he use of current design software ( i.e. Artios, SOLIDWORKS, Adobe Illustrator, etc.)
• Minimum of 2 year of relevant experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product components
• Knowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques for designing, building and managing the manufacture of new products
• Knowledge of the methodology and associated phases, activities and deliverables for the design of new products and the enhancement of existing products; ability to apply the methodology in diverse scenarios
• Knowledge of the methodology and associated phases, activities and deliverables for manufacturing new or enhancing existing products
• Ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time spent in a production and/or warehouse setting
• Position may be based at Menasha Packaging site or customer location
• Occasional travel required
• Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs ., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
