Junior Graphic Designer (freelance) (Creative Design)



Overview

Hearst Media Production Group is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer who's looking to develop their existing skills by working with senior creative staff to create engaging visuals across television, digital and print platforms. This role requires a strong eye for design and is a great opportunity for a college senior or recent graduate to work at a premiere television production company in L.A. and learn from a talented staff of designers, producers and editors. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating visually stunning concepts and graphics, working under the guidance of senior designer.
  • Contribute and refine compelling graphics for television series, social media, websites, pitch decks, promotions, and print materials.
  • Translate complex ideas into clear, visually engaging graphics while ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of graphic design experience with a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere).
  • Strong understanding of broadcast, typography, animation, color theory, layout, and branding.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience.
  • HMPG is a proud supporter of military veterans. Related military training and experience will be considered.

The estimated base salary range for this role is between $25 per hour and $30 per hour. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
