Marketing and Community Engagement Specialist (Finance)



Purpose: The Marketing & Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for developing and executing marketing
strategies, managing outreach efforts, and coordinating events that promote the organization's services and strengthen community
relationships. This position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support events and outreach activities.
PART I: ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTION AND DUTIES
1. Social Media
a. Create, schedule, and monitor engaging content across social media platforms.
b. Track analytics and adjust strategies to increase reach and engagement.
2. Outreach Events
a. Plan and participate in community events, health fairs, and other outreach initiatives.
b. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide event details.
c. Manage event registrations and attendee engagement.
3. Marketing
a. Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
b. Support the design and distribution of promotional materials.
4. Event Planning
a. Manage all aspects of event coordination, including venue selection, catering, technology, décor, and onsite
execution.
b. Ensure smooth operations and high-quality participant experiences.
5. Vendor Management
a. Research, negotiate, and coordinate with vendors such as caterers, decorators, and entertainers.
b. Secure cost-effective services and maintain strong vendor relationships.
6. Website Management
a. Oversee website content updates to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with branding.
b. Collaborate with IT or external vendors for technical support when needed.
7. Market Research & Analysis
a. Conduct research to understand community needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
b. Analyze data to inform marketing strategies and outreach efforts.
8. Strategy Development & Campaign Management
a. Assist in creating marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
b. Manage campaign execution, track performance, and prepare reports on outcomes.
9. Other Duties as assigned by CEO and COO.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field; or equivalent work experience.
2. Two (2) – Four (4) years' experience in marketing, community outreach, or event planning.
3. Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
4. Proficiency with social media platforms, Microsoft Office, marketing tools.
5. Ability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekends.
6. Bilingual (English/Arabic/Spanish) skills a plus.
PART IV: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Proficiency using electronic medical records and software used in healthcare environments
2. Excellent telephone and customer service skills
3. Skilled with working in a complex work environment
4. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and maintain organizationally appropriate relationships
5. Knowledge of organization policies and procedures.
6. Knowledge of marketing software including data analytic skills.
7. Skilled in exercising initiative, appropriate judgment, problem-solving and decision making.
8. Skilled in developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external customers maintaining the highest level
of confidentiality and integrity.
