Engineering Configuration Management Specialist (Finance)

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Engineering Configuration Management Specialist, located in Endicott, NY. The Configuration Management Specialist will be responsible for engineering data and documentation control. This position will ensure high quality documentation, timely releases, and configuration traceability to further nurture customer trust and confidence to be a best-in-class technical partner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Configuration and Control: Provide data entry support and monitor accuracy of the BOM database (design information), monitor Change Request Performance, facilitate Change Control Board and Release Management, Audit the system processes to ensure adherence, Control data and document transmittals to external parties (customer/agencies/suppliers). Ability to train key and new personnel on Configuration Management Basics Collaboration and Communication: Effectively collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to maintain the configuration and control records of products. Follow all applicable Company practices, policies and procedures. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve configuration and control issues. Collaborate with the engineering team to conceptualize cause and effects of process challenges. Industry Standards and Regulations: Ensure engineering technical documentation comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Act as the main point of contact for auditing with respect to configuration and control records. Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in the field. Work Flexibility: Ability to manage multiple projects at once. Understand and follow all applicable company practices, policies, and procedures. Conduct all work compliant with safety rules and regulations. Perform other work duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Associate's Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Industrial related discipline. Military and prior work experience will also be considered. 0-5 years experience in configuration management, engineering documentation control, or file management. Working knowledge and application of PLM and ERP software systems. Working knowledge of how the designed solutions may be used to help in developing the manufacturability and qualification tests and reliability parameters. Working knowledge of engineering drawing and technical document standards ASME Y14.100 or MIL-STD-100. SKILLS Strong skills to organize data and information. Disciplined approach to documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively communicate across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance teams. Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact well with customers. Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy under pressure and with frequent interruptions. Proficient in MS Office Suite. PHYSICAL DEMANDS (with or without reasonable accommodations): Prolonged sitting or standing. Visual acuity. Must be able to distinguish imperfections in material or product. Must be able to distinguish full range of colors. Potential to lift or transport light to heavy items (up to 50 lbs). Ability to adapt to change.
