Machinist (Finance)
An experienced machinist that can independently machine parts by means of programming, setting up, editing, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) and manual machines; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment. The machinist performs a full range of machinist assignments using independent judgment to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations. Familiar with Fanuc and Mazak controls and the ability to move to different work centers. The Gatan Machine Shop has low quantity close tolerance parts used in scientific research along with doing all the R&D machining for new products. Parts sizes vary from under .06" to 24". You will work with the engineering group to improve the machinability of the parts and reduce costs. Team member must work with programmers, engineers and fellow co-workers.
