What is the opportunity?:
We are seeking a talented, experienced lawyer to join the Omnissa Legal Team as Senior Associate Compliance Counsel. This person will provide guidance to various company stakeholders to support the designing, implementing and monitoring of Omnissa compliance programs. This person will work with colleagues across the Omnissa Legal Team, and throughout the rest of the company, to understand the key regulatory, legal and ethical obligations in support of achieving the company's strategic goals and objectives. Here's more about what you'll be doing:
• Provide legal advice and strategic guidance on a range of compliance areas, including data-handling and governance, cybersecurity, global digital accessibility, trade, anti-trust and competition, ethics and other regulatory areas. Understanding of financial services regulations is a plus.
• Drafting, reviewing, and providing guidance on global policies and procedures.
• Monitor and assess regulatory developments and industry trends globally to ensure compliance programs remain current and effective.
• Conduct and assist with internal compliance investigations and support remediation efforts.
• Support third party risk management programs, including advising and providing guidance on customer, supplier and partner compliance programs.
• Partner with key compliance stakeholders including business units, product teams and HR to deliver clear regulatory guidance, effective compliance training and awareness campaigns.
• Assist with internal and external audit initiatives to support the strategic goals of the company.
• As required, provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on other legal matters, including but not limited to, drafting of contract terms, addressing customer inquiries, and resolution of disputes.
What will you bring to Omnissa?
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in any United States jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as an attorney, providing legal advice and strategic guidance on a range of regulatory and legal compliance issues. United States-based in-house experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent policy and procedure drafting skills with the ability to communicate complex legal and regulatory concepts clearly and concisely.
• Ability to identify and mitigate legal and business risks and provide practical solutions to complex issues to support Omnissa compliance programs.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
