Ingram Micro is seeking a strategic and highly skilled Senior Manager, Indirect Sourcing - Technology to lead sourcing and procurement initiatives across telecom, network infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise technology architecture. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing complex sourcing projects, vendor negotiations, and supplier management efforts that enable critical technology platforms and enterprise connectivity. You will collaborate closely with IT, Cloud Architecture, Network Engineering, and Security teams to drive value, ensure business continuity, and optimize the intricate dependencies across enterprise technology ecosystems.

Your role:

  • Category Management: Develop and execute category strategies for telecommunications, network services (LAN/WAN/Wireless), cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and enterprise architecture solutions.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFI/RFP processes, competitive bidding, supplier evaluation, selection, and onboarding.
  • Vendor Negotiations: Structure and negotiate complex contracts, MSAs, licensing agreements, and service-level agreements (SLAs) for large-scale technology programs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Technology, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Legal, and Finance teams to support sourcing activities that align with technical roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
  • Technology Interdependencies: Understand how telecom, cloud, network, and application ecosystems interact and influence sourcing strategies and risk mitigation.
  • Cost Optimization & Value Creation: Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve service levels, and enable innovation across technology categories.
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and operational resilience principles throughout sourcing engagements.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Implement and manage supplier governance programs, QBRs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor technology trends, supplier landscape shifts, emerging providers, and pricing benchmarks to inform strategy.
  • Data & Reporting: Track savings, total cost of ownership (TCO), vendor consolidation efforts, and strategic sourcing KPIs for reporting to leadership.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, information technology, engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) a plus.
  • 8+ years of indirect sourcing, vendor management, or technology procurement experience, specifically within telecom, networking, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise technology domains.
  • Deep experience negotiating with telecom providers, cloud service vendors (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), network hardware/software suppliers, and managed service providers (MSPs).
  • Strong understanding of technology architecture principles and interconnected technology dependencies across the enterprise.
  • Skilled in negotiating complex, multi-layered technology contracts, including pricing models, consumption-based agreements, and hybrid cloud contracts.
  • Knowledge of key telecom/network technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN, UCaaS, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, etc.) and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in driving large-scale RFPs, vendor consolidation efforts, and total cost of ownership (TCO) optimizations.
  • Experience using e-sourcing platforms and procurement technologies (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua).
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including C-level technology and business leaders.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Familiarity with enterprise cybersecurity and risk frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) as they relate to sourcing.
  • Experience supporting IT transformation, third party service providers, cloud migration, and telecom modernization programs.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, and high-growth environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex technical inputs into actionable sourcing strategies.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $131,700.00 - $223,900.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
