Associate Loader (Transportation)
What You'll Get to Do
The Associate Loader/Unloader is focused on receiving goods accurately preparing our products for delivery and reports to a first shift Supervisor. This role is perfect for an individual who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attendance and is eager to learn and grow.
Job responsibilities include:
- On/off loading of materials from delivery trucks using forklift.
- Packing items according to shipping needs or supervisors' specifications, ensuring that the crates/boxes and packages are accurately packed
- Completing clerical tasks with the ability to use shop floor computer and RF equipment, including receiving goods (such as glass, materials and supplies).
- Conducting inspections to examine products and make sure they meet our specifications for quality and aren't damaged. Check against paperwork and follow up with Purchasing department as needed.
- Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks in an organized manner, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job
- All other job duties as assigned by Supervisor
What We're Looking For
- Prior manufacturing, warehouse, or maintenance experience preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience working in a continuous improvement environment, preferred
