Logistics Coordinator (Finance)



Position Summary:

Schedule freight carrier pick-ups, analyze and schedule daily shipments, deliveries, etc., as needed. Customer communications, faxing, ship information and processes expedited requests. In addition to, but not limited to: monitoring orders, billing, invoicing, data entry, emailing, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and schedule daily shipment from warehouse personnel
  • Schedule freight carrier pick-ups for daily shipments including export container scheduling as needed.
  • Customer communication including electronic advanced ship notices (ASN), faxing ship information and processes expedited request.
  • Billing transfer of shipment detail for invoicing personnel and recording sales on shared drive
  • Maintain record retention of shipping documents
  • Act as the customer service contact; operator and general office assistant
  • Access customer websites for pull signals daily
  • SAP
  • Process customer expedite requests
  • Work with accounts receivable to provide proof of deliveries and customer address changes.
  • Work with international logistics to provide increased export requirements for shipments.
  • Provide advanced ship notices to customer specific requirements
  • Respond to customer inquires
  • Notify customers if their order requirements cannot be met
  • Respond to customer inquiries concerning their order status
  • Direct Inbound and Outbound traffic
  • LPA's
  • Participate in 6S Program
  • Process SAP EMFOR/EMJIT Errors Daily.
  • Prepare Pick-Lists within SAP for customer Shipments.
  • Finalize Transfer Orders and Process Deliver Orders within SAP.
  • Monitor Back-Order Reports daily.
  • Ensure all shipments have proper BOL and Commercial Invoices as needed.

Education and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Prefer 1-2 years of shipping/receiving experience

Work Environment/Work Conditions:

  • Work time will be spent in a standard office environment with manufacturing plant exposure.
  • Temperature and noise may vary depending on external environmental conditions.
  • Lack of attention and carelessness may result in personal injury to self or others.
  • Personal protective equipment is required on the production floor.
