Senior Accountant (Project Management)

SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing daily general ledger activities, supporting the month-end close process, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. This role will work closely with the general ledger accounting team and play a key part in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. The Senior Accountant will also contribute to process improvements and system optimization efforts, particularly within NetSuite ERP.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform and manage general ledger accounting functions.Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close activities.Maintain GAAP compliance and ensure accurate GL coding.Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Handle bank reconciliations and monthly accruals.Maintain AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) and fixed asset records.Support external audits and tax preparation processes.Monitor and resolve FIFO inventory variances.Prepare monthly post-close reports and analysis.Participate in and lead special projects as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in Accounting.CPA license or Masters degree in Accounting or related field, preferred.Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred).Strong knowledge of GAAP, inventory, and cost accounting.High proficiency in Excel and NetSuite ERP.Experience supporting audits and tax activities.Experience with NetSuite ERP implementation or system upgrades, preferred.Exposure to compliance audits in a manufacturing setting, preferred.
