Special Investigations Unit Program Manager (Finance)

Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Special Investigation Unit Program Manager that can do a 2-day hybrid approach onsite in one of our Core Service Centers with preference for someone to sit in Farmington Hills. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set. 

Summary Statement

Manages the special investigation unit program and vendors to ensure that implementation and execution are carried out in accordance with the specified objectives.  Directs activities concerned with implementation and accomplishment of the program objectives.

Essential Tasks/Major Duties

  • Manage special investigation unit's vendor relationships establishing and complying with company contracts, including service level standards, pricing and billing requirements.
  • Establish and manage stewardship meetings to effectively manage vendor relationship.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute an audit program to monitor vendor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with state and other regulatory fraud and SIU reporting and training requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to establish and manage service level agreements.
  • Evaluate and analyze quality of performance and compliance with vendor program standards and requirements including opportunities for efficiency gains through system operations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on SIU matters as well as potential program enhancements.
  • Provide training to internal customers on SIU workflows and best practices.
  • Track, publish, and analyze performance metrics to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Identify and respond to inquiries regarding fraudulent activity; determine appropriate referral to vendor.
  • Coordinate and facilitate activities with law enforcement in response to instances of actionable fraud.
  • Recommend to SIU vendor regarding investigative activities and action items.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience.
  • 7 years commercial property and casualty insurance claims experience. 
  • 4 years SIU experience.
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to work on several projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.
  • Ability to influence and persuade others.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
