Quality Inspector (Finance)



Job Description:

Inspects product throughout all manufacturing operations including receiving, and final inspection to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs set-up inspections (1 st and last piece) as required to support manufacturing operations. Completes and files all related documentation.
  • Performs in-process inspections required for any operation. Completes and files all related documentation.
  • Performs final inspections on product. Completes and files all related documentation.
  • Measures dimensions such as length, height, and distance, between reference points to ensure product meets specifications.
  • Lead inspector will train new inspectors.
  • Reports any abnormal conditions to supervisor.
  • Performs daily system audit when assigned.
  • Performs all duties as per approved procedures.

Required Skills:
  • Knowledgeable of and ability to use hand-held gauges such as micrometers, calipers, Go/Nogo thread plug gauges.
  • Knowledgeable of and ability to use other dimensional measuring equipment, such as optical comparator, indicators, bench centers, thickness testers, gauge blacks, gauge pins and variable thread measuring equipment.
  • Ability to use network software (understand) to provide necessary control charts to floor.
  • Proficient in the use of hardness testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures and technical documents.
  • Proficient use of Tinius Olsen force testing unit.

Education:
