Network Engineer 1 - Network Engineering Operations (Information Technology)

Please note, this is a hybrid position requiring 8 days per month on-site in Alpharetta, GA.

Engineers on the Network Engineering Operations (NE-OPS) team are responsible for providing operation support of all network systems.  The NE-OPS team is also responsible for configuring, supporting, and maintaining enterprise networking monitoring systems.
 
Responsibilities:
•       Installation, configuration, integration, and support of network systems
•       Staging and deployment of network operating systems
•       Work with Network Engineering teams on defining proper alerts and thresholds for network systems
•       Work with Network Support on any network alerting or monitoring issues.
•       Assist with vulnerability remediation
•       Problem-determination and resolution
•       Tier 3 support escalation and on-call rotation
•       Project team participation
•       New technology awareness, research, and system integration


#LI-JB1 •       Bachelor's degree in Network Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or other analytical disciplines, or equivalent experience
•       Basic knowledge of networking principles
 
Preferred Qualifications:
•       CCNA Certification
•       Solid understanding and working knowledge of enterprise networks
•       Solid understanding and working knowledge of firewalls and next gen firewalls
•       Experience with networking tools including NetMRI, Broadcom Spectrum/Performance Center, ServiceNow, and HP Network  •       CCNA Certification
•       Solid understanding and working knowledge of enterprise networks
•       Solid understanding and working knowledge of firewalls and next gen firewalls
•       Experience with networking tools including NetMRI, Broadcom Spectrum/Performance Center, ServiceNow, and HP Network Automation
•       Understanding of networking protocols
•       Experience with Cisco Nexus devices
