Senior NPI Buyer (Finance)

SUMMARY Own sourcing and supplier engagement for new product development (NPD/NPI) programs from concept through pilot and ramp. Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Operations to build costed BOMs, compress prototype lead times, mitigate risk, and achieve launch targets for ACMT products ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Proposes changes to procedures and work instructions, specifically related to the purchasing function when the existing procedures no longer apply or opportunities for improvement arise. Meets with suppliers, customers and quality representatives as necessary. This includes monitoring the backlog, identifying any potential problems that may prevent on-time delivery to our customers and recommending solutions whenever possible. Ensures the timely review of MRP requirements to ensure on-time deliveries of goods and services as well as ensuring the accuracy of various ERP parameters related to the purchasing function. Meets regularly with management and other support functions (Engineering, Design, Manufacturing and Accounting) to help ensure flawless execution of the business plan. Generates status reports for management that indicate the overall health of the purchasing Monitors and assists, as needed, with corrective actions issued to the purchasing function. Promotes positive employee relationships through fair and equitable treatment of indirect reports and consistent impartial application of established company policies. Translate program requirements into sourcing strategies; develop and execute RFx for proto, pre production, and ramp. Build costed BOMs, negotiate target costs/should cost, and drive PPV to goals without schedule risk. Qualify and onboard new suppliers; lead NDA/MSA/SOW/PO terms with Legal/Compliance. Secure long lead items and tooling; manage capacity and material risk. Plan proto and pilot builds; place and expedite POs to hit design/test gates and customer milestones. Monitor supplier OTD/quality; lead RCCA for proto escapes and implement prevention. Maintain accurate item masters/BOMs, lead times, and pricing in ERP/PLM; support ECOs. Conduct Make/Buy and dual source decisions; present tradeoffs to leadership. Track and report NPI sourcing KPIs; hand off to Production/Commodity teams at launch. *Other duties as required in support of the department and the company* SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities of this role do not include supervising other employees. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 7+ years in procurement/strategic sourcing; 3+ years supporting NPD/NPI programs. Background in medical device manufacturing industries favored. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Conversational in any other language is a plus. JOB SKILLS Advanced in MS Office Suite and SharePoint. Proficient in ERP systems, SAP preferred. Experience with commodities typical to ACMT (resins, cable/wire, PCB's, electronic components, packaging) Basic Knowledge of cost/price analysis and should‑costing. Familiar with quality systems (ISO 13485), PPAP/APQP or FAI, and GD&T drawings. Strong negotiation, supplier development, and project management skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS As part of their job duties, the employee must sit for lengthy periods while operating a computer. They frequently use their hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. This role requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, reaching at or below shoulder level, and keyboarding. SALARY INFORMATION: According to several states' laws, this position's salary range falls between $90,000 and $115,000 annually. However, this salary information is merely a general guideline. When extending an offer, Amphenol Critical Medical Technologies considers various factors such as the position's responsibilities, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, essential skills, internal pay equity, and market considerations. Certain roles are also eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases and annual bonus. These awards are discretionary and allocated based on individual and company performance.
